Your weight on different planets.

In today's world there are two types of people the ones who want to lose their weights and the ones want to gain weights. But did you know which factors are responsible for your weights. There are two factors responsible for your weights and those are planet's mass and radius.

You can calculate your weight on different planets by using simple formula.

                             W = mg

where,

                 W -> Your weight

                 m -> Your mass

                  g ->  Acceleration due to gravity on that planet.

       

There are many people who are confused between weight and mass for them mass is a physical quantity which remains constant throughout the universe, it is one of the fundamental physical quantity. weight is not a fundamental physical quantity and it varies from place to place. Even on earth your weights is different on poles and equator.

• There are two steps to calculate your weight on Planets.       

   1) 

                     Everyone knows their weight on earth and also the value of acceleration due to gravity on earth ( g = 9.8 m/s^2 )

         So put the value in the formula and find your mass.

             Consider W is your weight,

                          W= m × 9.8

                              m=W/9.8   .............(1)

             By substituting your Weight in equation (1) you will get your mass.

             Average weight of human is 62 kg

                           62=m×9.8

                            m=6.32

                 Now by using formula you can calculate your weight on different planets.

• On Mercury 

                The value of acceleration due gravity on mercury is 3.7

          Therefore, your weight = m×3.7

                 If your weight on earth is 62 kg then your weight on mercury will be 23.3 kg.

• On Venus 

              The value of acceleration due gravity on Venus is 8.87

          Therefore, your weight = m×8.87

               If your weight on earth is 62 kg then your weight on Venus will be 56 kg.

• On Mars

               The value of acceleration due gravity on Mars is 3.72

          Therefore, your weight = m×3.72

                If your weight on earth is 62 kg then your weight on mars will be 23.5 kg.

• On Jupiter 

               The value of acceleration due gravity on Jupiter is 24.79

          Therefore, your weight = m×24.79

                If your weight on earth is 62 kg then your weight on Jupiter will be 156.6 kg.

• On Saturn 

                The value of acceleration due gravity on Saturn is 10.44

          Therefore, your weight = m×10.44

                 If your weight on earth is 62 kg then your weight on Saturn will be 65.9 kg.

• On  Uranus 

                The value of acceleration due gravity on Uranus is 8.69

          Therefore, your weight = m×8.69

                If your weight on earth is 62 kg then your weight on Uranus will be 54.9 kg.

• On Neptune 

               The value of acceleration due gravity on Neptune is 11.15

          Therefore, your weight = m×11.15

                If your weight on earth is 62 kg then your weight on Neptune will be 70.5 kg.
